Authentic Indian food with a twist in Abu Dhabi

A few weeks ago we dined at Mint Indian Restaurant located in Al Zahiyah (formally knows as Tourist Club). The Indian restaurant is a welcome addition to the capital with a real modern twist to authentic dishes.

1-#value was the one thing that stood out to us. The dishes were really reasonably priced for the quantity AND the quality. AED16 for a huge plate of aloo channa chat is cheaper than most starters we’ve had in the city.

2-#quality is very good. The flavours used are very authentic and they were very good at meeting requirements for spice level and removing certain ingredients. They also like to have fun with the dishes - our dessert was dressed to look like a smiley face winking 📷😉 and one of the dishes was formed into a caterpillar shape!

3-#venue is cute, with turquoise furniture and black and gold fittings. The space is not huge, but cosy enough for a meal with friends and family. They also deliver and when we were there, the driver was constantly on delivery runs which filled us with lots of confidence.

#ADRfave - the Mynt Special is a main dish of tandoori mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, paneer tikka and veg samosa. Each of the veg was cooked in different sauces, but it all worked well together. It was also big enough to share and at AED44 we thought it was totally worth it.
