Fleetwood, Scott, and Rose Set for 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship
Tommy Fleetwood, fresh from winning an Olympic Silver Medal, will aim for more success at the 2024 Race to Dubai as he competes in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links from November 7-10. The event, part of the season-ending 'DP World Tour Play-Offs,' will feature top golfers, including Major Champions and former World Number Ones Adam Scott and Justin Rose.
Fleetwood, a Dubai resident, has a strong track record in the UAE, with three of his seven DP World Tour victories in the country. He’s a two-time winner of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, having secured titles in 2017 and 2018, and also won the Race to Dubai in 2017. Recently, Fleetwood earned a Silver Medal for Great Britain at the Paris Olympics, sharing the podium with World Number One Scottie Scheffler and Major winner Hideki Matsuyama.
"I’m very proud to be a two-time winner of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship," said Fleetwood. "It’s an iconic trophy and an iconic tournament in this part of the world."
Adam Scott, currently ranked second in the Race to Dubai, is also in top form. The former World Number One and 2013 Masters Champion recently finished runner-up at the PGA TOUR’s BMW Championship and is eager to compete in the UAE, where he has consistently performed well.
"The UAE is always a place I’ve enjoyed playing golf in, and I’m excited to compete in this year’s Play-Offs," said Scott.
Justin Rose, the 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist, will make his return to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, aiming for his first victory in the UAE. Rose recently finished as runner-up at The 152nd Open, marking his best finish in a Major in six years.
"I’m looking forward to finishing my season in the UAE," said Rose. "The Play-Offs will certainly add an exciting new dynamic to the end of the year, and I’m excited to compete in Abu Dhabi again."
