Ramadan 2024 | Iftar in Abu Dhabi

 

With Ramadan upon us, we have collated a list of iftars in Abu Dhabi for every budget from luxurious buffets to casual dining.


 


Flamingo Room by tashas Abu Dhabi, Al Maryah Island

6.30pm - 1am (12am Monday to Thursday)


Flamingo Room by tashas have put together a curated menu for two, which includes starters such as Fried Calamari, featuring calamari & squid heads accompanied by lime mayo, tomato, and cucumber pickle. The menu also has options like Crab and Lobster Croquettes and Arancini. Mains include Mushroom Lasagne and a Tiger Prawn Platter. Complete your meal with a Dazzling Date or Jasmine Granita mocktail.

African Lounge, Flamingo Collection - The Galleria - Al Maryah Island

Daily from sunset


African Lounge, a tented safari camp experience nestled within the Flamingo Collection, has created a special Iftar menu called The Journey.


The four course menu is for 2 people and features options like Grilled Bao Buns with aromatic Malay spiced butter, Prawn Arancini served on a bed of coriander salsa, and a vibrant Rainbow Slaw. The second course has options like Prawn Sosaties and crispy Corn Fritters accompanied by creamy parsley aioli. Third course includes Wagyu steak or Chicken Pot Pie complemented by a Broccoli Green Salad. Dessert come in the shape of Vanilla Panna Cotta or Sticky Toffee Pudding.

COYA Abu Dhabi, The Galleria, Al Maryah Island

Sunset until 7.30pm


Iftar comes with a Peruvian twist at the pan-latino restaurant in The Galleria on Al Maryah Island. On the menu you’ll find a bowl of COYA’s iconic creamy guacamole, a choice of tomato or creamy corn soup, plus sharing style appetisers which are served to the table. There’s also healthy light bites such as tuna aburi nigiri, fresh corn salad, veal bacon maki rolls and Chilean sea bass rice. Main courses include vegetarian-friendly quinoa and pumpkin, spicy beef fillet, grilled corn-fed baby chicken and grilled asparagus are all delivered to the table. COYA will also serve their special ‘Delicia de Luna’ Ramadan dessert, which has dates crémeux, rosewater, pistachio, apricot and camel milk ice cream.

Al Mabeet Desert Camp – Al Wathba, A Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa

Sunset until 10pm


Al Mabeet Desert Camp will be open exclusively for the holy month . The venue is inspired by the rustic camps of the Bedouin tribes, with a traditional tent set up featuring Bedouin-style décor, ornaments and a bonfire to gather around with your loved ones.

There’ll be live stations serving everything from healthy salads, heartwarming soups, and colorful hot and cold mezze. Main courses will include whole slow-cooked lamb Ouzi, and traditional Arabic grills, plus chicken and lamb tagines and Moroccan-style hammour.

The buffet will also feature roast beef, spicy Indian curries, Asian stir-fries, Italian penne Arrabiata pasta and lotsmore. Desserts to include Arabic sweets such as kunafa, umm ali, and baklava, plus pastries and cakes like Italian tiramisu, raspberry eclairs, burnt basque cheesecake and more.

The iftar experience will offer gentle melodies from a live Qanoon player.

The all day dining restaurant will fuse Arabian and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. You can sit al fresco on the terrace or inside the luxury dining room, while you dine on Ramadan favourites, like one-metre-long Turkish kebabs, and find Morrocan dishes in the tagine corner or head over to the live stations baklava, kunafa and creamy ‘booza’ Arabic ice cream. Iftar will also feature an extensive buffet with fresh seafood, barbecue grills, carved roast beef, homemade pastas, and spicy Indian curries.

For your sweet tooth there’s a live crêpe and pancake station and traditional sweets like baklava, umm ali, and kunafa, amongst others.
