Friday Fun with the Kiddos at Cultural Foundation


 

If your little ones are fans of Tom Fletcher books, you're in luck! His beloved Who’s in Your Book? series is debuting as a musical, There’s a Monster in Your Show. During the musical, your kids will meet a group of performers preparing to start their show, but discover they are not alone on stage. Little Monster and his friends want to be part of the fun too! You can expect comedy and chaos as they help to create a magical show, learning about the joy of books and friendship.

 

While at Cultural Foundation, be sure to check out their Eric Carlile exhibit. “Through the Seasons with Eric Carle” showcases the wonders of nature throughout the year. With more than 70 books to his name, including the famous The Very Hungry Caterpillar, this exhibition looks at Carle’s imagery of the seasons, from hibernating bears in winter to hatching chicks in spring. The show features original artworks—including Carle’s painted tissue-paper collages from nine classic picture books—as well as unpublished work.

Witness a ‘Clash of Legends’ at NBA Fan Appreciation Day


 

The NBA is in town this week with the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics set to play on the 4th and 6th but what may be the most entertaining part of the NBA’s trip to the capital is on the 5th. The NBA’s Fan Appreciation Day is set to feature quite an unusual 3x3 game between legendary football players. That’s right, football players. The iconic Roberto Carlos, Luís Figo, Iker Casillas, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry and Gerard Piqué, will ditch their footballs for basketballs and hit the court for what’s sure to be an entertaining game.

 

NBA Fan Appreciation Day will also feature a performance by award-winning rapper 2 Chainz, and appearances from Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets players. Fans will be treated to a full lineup of entertainment, including a skills challenge, three-point contest, slam dunk showcase, mascot appearances, and musical acts. Tickets starting at AED 25 are still available, so book yours now!

Enjoy a Soulful Family Brunch at Derwandi


 

Derwandi, the homegrown Lebanese restaurant, is launching a new Sunday brunch in Abu Dhabi. Starting October 6, every Sunday from 12:30 PM to 4 PM, Derwandi invites guests to indulge in an open buffet filled with your favorite Lebanese dishes. There will be an array of appetizers like Hummus, Zatar, and Tabbouleh. Choose from dishes such as Grilled Lamb Kofta, Chicken Shawarma, and meat skewers for the main course. And of course, no meal is complete without a sweet ending— the dessert station boasts Knefetna, Ali Umm, and other traditional delights. Rawad, a rising Arabic singer, will perform live, adding to your brunching atmosphere.
