Candlelight Concerts
Celebrate the Season with Your Favourite Holiday Tunes
Candlelight Christmas is coming to the Capital to get you into the holiday spirit with songs from popular movies such as Love Actually, Home Alone, and the greatest pop Holiday hits! Hosted at the NYU Blue Hall in Abu Dhabi December 13th this special concert series promises a musical journey with a blend of traditional favorites and beloved holiday melodies. The Gulf String Quartet and pianist Aldo Dotto, will deliver renditions of classics such as "Let It Snow," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Winter Wonderland," "Last Christmas," "Jingle Bells," "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," and more.

Nordic Christmas in the Desert
Experience the best bits of a Nordic Christmas without any added layers or subzero temperatures at VALGERAND. The Nordic grill is launching a special menu for December, drawing inspiration from traditional Christmas dishes of the region. Santa’s set menu will include starters like chicken liver mousse and cranberries, smoked salmon rosti and Estonian potato salad. For mains, choose from a smoked boneless prime beef rib roast, grilled salmon with creamy sauce, roasted duck breast with cranberry sauce or charcoal-grilled cauliflower with romanesco sauce, all paired with brussel sprouts, grilled veg, baked potatoes and a fresh seasonal salad. Finish off your meal with something sweet like Riskrem (Norwegian whipped cream and rice pudding) with cherry sauce; gingerbread cheesecake and cherries; or Christmas chocolate and raspberry cake roll. The three-course meal will be paired with festive decorations and either free-flowing mulled wine or non-alcoholic Christmas punch.

Panettone, Prosecco, and festive vibes—celebrate Natale with Antonia and head back a few days later to toast the New Year! Antonia and Antonia Chic are offering Christmas and NYE specials for you and your favorites to enjoy. On Christmas, enjoy brunch with a 4-course set menu at Antonia or a set menu with a buffet at Antonia Chic. A soft drink package will cost AED 345 and a house beverage package will cost AED 395 at each. Kids between 6 and 12 can eat for AED 250 at Antonia. For New Year’s Eve, take the family to Antonia for another 4-course set menu for AED 495 for adults and AED 250 for kids 6-12. At Antonia Chic, enjoy a 4-course set menu for AED 595 (children under 10 are not permitted). And what’s Christmas without the Italian classic, Panettone. The festive fruitcake will be available at any Antonia until the restaurant runs out.

Beach Rotana
An Array of Ways to Make Your Christmas Eve, Day, Orthodox Christmas and NYE Special
Beach Rotana restaurants, Benihana, Brauhaus, Finz, Indigo, Prego’s, Rodeo Grill and Trader Vic’s are all offering exclusive festive dishes in honour of the Holiday! Each restaurant will be open from 6 to 11 PM on Christmas Eve and from 1 to 6 PM on Christmas Day. If you celebrate Orthodox Christmas, Essence will offer a buffet paired with either soft drinks (for AED 195) or house beverages (for AED 295) on 7 January from 12:30 - 3:30 PM. If your kiddos are looking for a photo op and chance to share their Christmas wishes with Santa, head to Café Colombia between December 15 and 24 anytime between 3 and 9 PM.
If you prefer sticking close to home for the holidays, don’t despair. Beach Rotana is offering a Turkey Takeaway this season. Priced at AED 600, the festive feast includes a 7kg turkey brined for 24 hours before being slow roasted with butter basting and festive herbs, to be served with apple and sausage stuffing, whipped mash potato, roasted new potatoes, brussel sprout & chestnut sauté, glazed carrots and roasted parsnips. Serving up to seven guests, the takeaway also includes turkey giblet gravy, classic cranberry & orange jus, and a 500g stollen for after dinner. The Turkey Takeaway will be available from 5 December to 7 January. Orders must be placed at least 48 hours in advance.
Struggling to choose just one option for Christmas? Head back to the Beach Rotana on the 31st for more! Al Shorfa, Benihana, Brauhaus, Finz, Indigo, Rodeo Grill, Prego’s, the Garden and Trader Vic’s all are hosting guests to ring in 2025. Each restaurant has a minimum spend of AED 450 for adults and AED 250 for kids at all but Finz, Rodeo Grill, and Trader Vic’s where the parties are only for adults. The NYE dinners will be available from 7 PM to midnight and each requires pre-payment.
If you think that’s it for Beach Rotana’s festive offerings, think again. The hotel will also host a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner. Hosted at Central Garden, the gala dinner will feature a buffet with live stations and just about every food you can imagine including nitro ice cream. The adults-only party will have a DJ and front-row seats to the fireworks display on Al Maryah Island. The Gala costs AED 1,500 per person, with pre-payment required. Elegant resort attire is requested – tailored trousers and shirts with sleeves and collar for gentlemen.
